This floral bouquet is a Swedish dish cloth! Swedish dish cloths are very absorbent and last much longer than paper towels. The blue background works nicely with my Loon Family, Water Currents, and Water Lilies tea towels (listed separately on Etsy). Makes a beautiful housewarming, bridal, or bridal shower gift. These are such fun gifts because they brighten the home and warm the heart, blending with lots of kitchen decors.
I love my Swedish dish washer cloth for cleaning. It is stiff when it's dry. Wet it before you begin to clean, and it softens and becomes very flexible. It lasts much longer than paper towels. It absorbs much more than paper towels, too! Use it over and over, allowing it to dry between uses. As it dries, you'll find that it dries into funny, wonky shapes. I find them easier to pick up that way.
These cloths would be perfect for crafting, either to clean up messes or to use in a craft project. Please don't use food coloring to decorate them! It is safe, but your kitchen sink will be a mess when you wet the towel! Whatever you try, please be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for the products you use.
Once these towels are dirty, you can compost them! You could also place them on the top rack in your dishwasher. You can also launder them, but it's best not to use harsh chemicals. I don't recommend placing them in the dryer.
Harsh chemicals will break these cloths down faster. If you want them to last, use gentle soaps or chemicals.
